I've always loved dogs and became seriously interested in them while still in my teens, reading about breed histories, conformation, canine health and behaviour as well as training techniques. With the help of friends who owned a kennel, I began to show my first dog, a tri-color collie, and it was at the dog shows that I first began to blend my love of dogs and my love of drawing when I started to sell quick-sketch dog portraits. For years I've learned about the canine mind and the attitudes and conformation standards of the various breeds. Today, I bring my experience, understanding and love of dogs to my dog art.
